VE 80 DAYVictory in Europe Day is the day celebrating the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces on Tuesday, 8 May 1945; it marked the official surrender of all German military operations.We remember those who served to defend our democratic freedoms and way of life. We unite across faiths, cultures and backgrounds to remember the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces!We will remember them today and always We are flying the VE 80 flag from 9am and will be joined by ENDERBY BAND for wartime and national music before lighting the beacon on the crossroads at 9.30pm!! Flags will be supplied
